The Wassaic Project in Hudson Valley Celebrates 10 Years of Artistic Innovation

The Wassaic Project
Directors and curators are forging ahead with exciting artists making the Wassaic Project a unique space, figuratively and literally, in the contemporary art world. Just steps away from the last stop on the Harlem train line in the picturesque and rolling hills of the Hudson Valley, this serious art incubator is celebrating its 10th anniversary as it prepares for more success ahead. The Wassaic Project is defining its own space in the contemporary art world by attracting successful artists who are educated at the country’s top art schools while still adhering to its founding philosophies that art is an expression of its social context and that art can foster community. Ever mindful of the importance of art in its social context and its immediate community, the directors and curators have created the Wassaic Project’s unique outreach and schooling programs. The program is a creative outlet for local and summer residents in a stimulating environment.
